Bernadette & Paul’s Wedding was held last month on a beautiful property in Chestertown on Maryland’s Eastern Shore. The plan was for the ceremony to be outside next to beautiful horse farm on a sunny September day. The day of the wedding I awoke to see weather alerts everywhere. The whole week it had been raining on and off so I figure no big deal. But yes, it was a big deal! They were calling for 65mph winds, severe thunderstorms, flooding and tornado watches! I looked out the window- the sun was shining and there was a beautiful breeze- I kept thinking they have got this all wrong! So I packed my bags headed out to beautiful Chestertown but as I grew closer and closer my heart sank- I could see the stormy threatening gray clouds. I walked into the house excepting to see a nervous Bride and Groom but surprisingly these two were ALL smiles. After all this was suppose to best day ever! It was amazing to see how many family & friends came to aid and rearrange the whole ceremony plan. They ended up moving the ceremony inside the tent, built a little bridge so the ladies didn’t have to walk through soggy grass and even started their ceremony a little late so their guest did not have to rush through the storm and everyone could arrive safely. As you can see it NEVER really stopped raining but the day ended up beautiful- just like these two. I can’t say enough about this amazing couple- their smiles are so contiguous and so is their love for one another.
